Match Report: Featherstone Town CC 2nd XI vs Fenwick CC 2nd XI

Featherstone Town CC produced an excellent all-round performance to secure a comfortable result against Fenwick CC on Saturday.

After winning the toss and opting to field first, Featherstone’s bowlers quickly took control of the game with a disciplined and accurate display. The standout performer with the ball was Kapil, who delivered a remarkable spell of 10 overs, conceding just 10 runs while claiming 3 wickets. His consistency and control made scoring extremely difficult for the Fenwick batting line-up.

Tony Rusling also impressed with the ball, taking 2 wickets from his 5 overs while giving away only 15 runs. Additional contributions came from John Tod and youngster Oliver Roberts, who both picked up a wicket apiece to keep the pressure firmly on the opposition throughout the innings

Fenwick CC struggled to build momentum and closed their innings on 83/7 from their allotted overs.
Special mention to the whole team for there fielding led by heppy who was putting his body on the line for the team

In reply, Featherstone Town CC chased the target confidently thanks to an outstanding unbeaten partnership between Tony Rusling and Jordan Sayles. Rusling anchored the innings superbly with 40 not out, while Sayles provided excellent support with an unbeaten 38 including two massive sixes

The pair guided Featherstone home comfortably, completing an impressive team performance built on disciplined bowling and composed batting.
