The practice Robert Allerton RIBA is a small practice established in 1992. Robert Allerton BA Dipl(Arch)Hons RIBA

The practice operates from a converted Victorian house typical of the housing stock of the seaside town of Felixstowe. The practice has focused on residential and commercial developments for a wide range of clients including local developers, housing associations and individual clients. Projects worked on range from the very smallest domestic alterations through individual houses to complex housin

g schemes. The practice works in conjunction with local consulting firms to provide the full range of services for the delivery of projects. Being a small collaborative practice, we are able to respond to client’s requirements at an early stage to best ensure the client’s needs and aspirations are fully achieved.

We visited .worx yesterday in connection with a local project we're involved in for . It was great seeing what can be achieved with the simple shipping container! We were made to feel most welcome by Luke and the team. What a great local company!

A great start to the New Year! Very pleased to note that planning permission has been achieved for the redevelopment of 14 flats and 380m2 of commercial space on the old Adventure Golf site, Sea Road, Felixstowe. The permission has been won at appeal after a 3 year planning process. Thanks to Boyer Planning (Colchester), and Martin at Pathfinder Development Consultants.

Sometimes the best compliment is that no one even knows you've been! Our brief was to improve the access and circulation to the property so the homeowners could continue to make the most of their family home! Small changes are sometimes just as effective! Visiting the fabulous joinery workshop today at Elliston Steady & Hawes to speak with the team and about the bespoke staircase. It's not long before we see the real thing on site!

We made one last trip around our various sites this week. Nice to see all the jobs coming along nicely! It's been tough for everyone but luckily we've had a busy year! We were happy to receive our award this morning from the LABC Building Excellence Awards. We were nominated by our friends at East Suffolk for Best Residential & Small Commercial Designer. This award was for the regional stage, now we have to see how we get on at the national awards early next year! 🤞🏻

Chris is off on his holidays!!! 🚵‍♂️ Chris & three of his mates are cycling from Felixstowe to Paris tomorrow! Just under 450miles in 4 days! They are raising money for four great charities as well! Following last nights announcement we just thought we should confirm a couple of things for people visiting the office. As we are open and working from the office, if you need to visit us, please sign in on the form provided when you arrive. Also, as of tomorrow (Thursday 24th Sept), could you also download the NHS covid-19 app and scan the QR Code in the entrance lobby. If you do have symptoms please can you inform us and we can either postpone your appointment until you have isolated or alternatively we could arrange a video call. As always, thank you for your continued support through these difficult times!
