Something a little different today. I was called out to a property after the customer noticed water leaking through the brickwork.

Once the bricks were carefully removed, the cause of the issue became clear. The waste pipe serving the flat above had suffered a major crack after a heavy iron bar had somehow fallen down the cavity wall and landed directly on the pipework.

Fortunately, I was able to gain access from the outside, replace the damaged section of pipe, and resolve the leak without the need for any internal disruption. A very unusual fault, but a satisfying one to put right.
