Hi folks, just got back from my annual holiday to Prague on Monday afternoon and started this job on Tuesday, it was badly needing done and customer was excited about it finally getting finished after spending money on a new roof and window and door but after taking the ceiling and wall down I uncovered something very alarming, water has been getting in and the stud wall was wet and mouldy, the OSB roof panel had not been replaced and just covered over with new OSB with nails showing through it and all rusty and had holes through it.
Job has been stopped till they contact their insurance company to find out what the next move is but with the stud work and external OSB boarding soaking wet and mouldy it could possibly be a whole knock down and rebuild.
It's an inconvenience to myself but it's nothing in comparison to how my customer must be feeling knowing that other trades didn't pick up on this or could have been their work that has caused this.
Once it's been assessed and put right I have to come back and do the full plastering and decoration of the whole HSL.

Evening folks, one of my kind customers gifted me a bottle of red wine as a thank you for a job well done, as much as I appreciate this it's my Mrs that will benefit from my hard work so for future reference if your in a generous composition after I've left an outstanding job I'll accept folding cash in a brown envelope 😜 or a box of Carling or Tennant's lager😜 as I'm not that posh for wine. 😂

Evening folks, forgot to post this as been busy doing admin work over the weekend but here we have a front door and screen I done for a landlord putting his rental property on the market.
Door and screen were in a sorry state with parts of the screen and drip plate all rotten so I took off the drip plate and replaced it, I had to cut the rotten wood out and replace it and do some repair care to it, I spent the first day getting all the prep work done and the weather gods where shining on me the next day and it took 6/7 coats of Zinnsser allcoat exterior satin with the stiff breeze and beaming sun it dried out lovely for me.
It's the original door from when the houses got built and it's not perfect but it's a massive improvement.

Evening folks, here we have a young man's bedroom I've just completed, I decorated this room many years ago when he was just a young boy and he's grown out of the marvel wallpaper.
There was a lot of settlement cracks appeared since the last time I was in plus a lot of water ingress that was fix a while back but not before the damage was done.
Cracks all racked out almost right back to the lath, bonded and plaster patch and blended in, I plastered one wall fully.
Ceiling finished in eclipse and walls in clean extreme, woodwork all sanded, undercoat and finished in satin.
The young man is delighted with his room and will look great with his new carpet and furniture when they arrive.

Evening folks, here we have a HSL I finished today, this took a bit longer than I thought to get done but I did have a few days here and there off for personal reasons.
This HSL had never been touched in the 19 years of them staying here and who knows how long before that so was well overdue being done.
There was spotlights that I took out and replaced with a basic white ceiling rose top and bottom, ceiling and walls had a heavy artex so I plastered all ceilings and walls, woodwork was prepped within an inch of it's life and the balustrade was taken off on off on so many times so I could get proper access when plastering.
Downstairs woodwork was all bare oak so whitened that all out along with all the stained woodwork, ceilings finished in eclipse and walls finished in clean extreme, woodwork finished in crown satin.
To be honest there was so much going on with this job there's to much to mention.
As a finishing touch I replaced all the brass screws and washers with chrome one's for that final finish, also changed all door handles.
Customer is over the moon and I have the lounge to do next that's even a bigger job and another transformation.

Hi folks, forgot to post this job as just been busy but here we have a lounge for a returning customer.
Ceiling finished in eclipse and something I never do but I used paint supplied by customer and never doing it again so if you say you have the paint take it back I won't use it but it was Dulux easy care DIY rubbish, never again.
Upvc window's painted white using a multi surface adhesion primer and finished in satin.
All woodwork was 2pac filled undercoat and finished in satin.
Quite bright just what the customer was looking for.
Forgot I also changed the handles to chrome on the upvc window's, customer is going to send me pictures once the new blinds go up and new wall lighting and fully furnished so I'll update this post once they come through.
