Another Ash die back project completed for North Yorkshire Moors National Park this week. The work carried out to make safe trees next to the Railway Roads and Footpaths.

Something a bit different today, as part of our contract with Forestry England, is to cover emergency work, which usually is storm damage.
However, today we were called out to work alongside North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue after a fire had broken out covering six hectares of woodland.
Our job was to fell trees to make a fire break and access paths.
The team worked hard in very challenging conditions, I am proud of their efforts.
A huge amount of equipment on site to fight the fires.

Another big Winter completed, covering a huge area all the way from Skegness to Berwick and everywhere else in between.
A various range of jobs completed putting all our kit through its paces.

Now for a long weekend off for our great team, Happy Easter everyone.

Storm Darragh update:

After what was one of the worst storms to hit us in this area for many years, We are still on with the clearing up and will be for a while yet.

Up to now, we have cleared over forty trees in over 20 different locations.
As many trees that we have cleared each day, we have had the same amount added to the list.

The new enquiries have been trees that have not come down but are now dangerous.
These include partial uprooted trees, hanging branches and split stems. Trees at first glance may seem ok, but might not be, if you have any concerns please do get in touch with us.

Many thanks to all the customers that had work already booked in with us, which we have had to postpone, thank you for being understanding. We will be back in touch with new dates in due course.

As always, thanks to my top teams, who have been flat out, putting in long shifts and putting all our kit through its paces. 👍👍

Today’s task, -
local authorities do sometimes request house owners cut back their trees or hedges away from roads and footpaths, These works have to be completed in a short timeframe.
Today, we undertook this, to cut back off the highway. We managed to find a lampost and the “S” of Slow.
