My next project was back to bathrooms! Ripping out a shower unit, basin, toilet, radiator and floor tiles to transform a drab and dreary downstairs room into a bright contemporary and calming bath with shower room.

Thank you to all those kind people who helped provide recycled materials, especially the pallets, scaffold poles and netting and to my children and friends who also helped transform the garden (using a very limited budget!) into some where enjoyable to spend time! ❤️

Now to start moving the 13 tonnes of top soil and 6 tonnes of sand delivered to the bottom of the neighbours garden (they kindly let it be delivered there to speed up the job. Needless to say, this took some time to shift!!

Back to the rear of the house, next job was scarify the existing lawn. A thorough job (with helpers!) left a rather large area bereft of grass but most importantly the bind w**d and brambles that had been dominating the area! Also started on the fence panel raising and replacing. To do this I collected some old railway sleepers (again from a kind donation) and using my new combination table saw, cut them to into gravel boards to place onto of the existing concrete ones.

Using the scaffold poles we erected the large netting to keep balls inside the garden!  And of course had to check it wo...
