🔨 Emergency roofing works completed at New Thursby Nursing Home 🏡
Built in 1905 as a Home for Children, New Thursby is an iconic building in Blackpool/St Anne’s, and we’re proud to have played a part in preserving it.
The roof had reached the point of failure, so a section required urgent replacement.
Works carried out included:
* Removal of the old, deteriorated roof tiles and battens.
* Installation of breathable roofing felt and treated timber battens.
* Installation of new lead valleys.
* Installation of new roof tiles, with every tile securely nailed. 🔨
* Ridge tiles re-bedded and re-pointed.
* Tile repairs carried out across the surrounding roof area.
