Planning application submitted by CLArchitects for the change of use and extension of an existing garage to create a dedicated home work annexe within a semi-rural property in Capel-le-Ferne.

This scheme reflects the evolution of residential architecture — where productivity, wellbeing and lifestyle are seamlessly integrated into the home environment. The proposal introduces a purpose-designed office to support our client’s business alongside a private gym space, carefully positioned to benefit from wide views across an expansive garden.

The architectural approach respects the host dwelling while elevating its function, transforming an underutilised structure into a high-performing, design-led space. Design-led improvements that respect the existing dwelling and elevate its use.

Countryside Home Extension, Acrise Kent

We’re pleased to have submitted a planning application to remodel and extend an existing family home in the Kent countryside, located in Acrise.

The proposal carefully balances contemporary living with its rural setting and includes a new double garage with annex accommodation above, alongside a thoughtfully positioned outdoor kitchen designed to frame and preserve long views across the surrounding landscape.

Every element has been developed to respect the character of the existing house while enhancing functionality, longevity, and connection to the outdoors. A considered architectural response that prioritises views, setting, and day-to-day living.
