Big thank you to Keat's Scaffolding for an excellent job 👏

Professional from start to finish, really friendly team, and nothing was too much bother. They talked us through everything before starting, moved any obstacles out of the way, and left everything clean and tidy afterwards.

Very pleased with the service and would happily recommend them to anyone needing scaffolding work done.

Recently, we attended a property to give some free advice on a new kitchen. The customer showed me the consumer unit and said they had another consumer unit installed for the cooker as there was not enough room in the old board.

We were asked to look at the setup… and what we found was genuinely dangerous:

❌ No blanks fitted
❌ Live busbar exposed
❌ Cover removed and the customer was told “don’t lift the lid – it’s dangerous”

That’s not just poor workmanship — that’s a serious safety risk.

We made it safe immediately.

This is exactly why choosing the right electrician matters.

Today was our April charity day at Capel School.

When we arrived, only 3 of the 12 lights in the main hall were working. The school purchased the new fittings and we donated our labour free of charge. By the end of the day, all 12 lights were working again, giving the hall a bright, safe space for students and staff.

At Powered with Purpose Ltd, we offer one free charity day every month to a school, charity, scout group, guide group, church or community organisation. There is no charge for our labour and no markup on materials – organisations simply pay the cost price.

But we do not just carry out charity work. We also provide electrical work across the local area, including:

• Fault finding
• Consumer unit upgrades
• Lighting and power
• EV charger installations
• Testing and inspection
• General electrical repairs and improvements

We are NAPIT registered, fully insured up to £5 million, City & Guilds trained and EV trained, so you can be confident you are in safe hands.

By supporting our business, you are also helping us continue these free charity days for organisations that need them most.

🔌 Electricians don’t clean up after themselves… apparently!

We’ve heard the rumours… electricians make the mess and leave the dust behind. Well, here at Powered with Purpose, we like to prove people wrong.

We’re proud to say we come fully equipped with two Henrys.

✔ Henry the Hoover – takes care of all the dust, debris, and the bits we drill out of your walls.
✔ Henry the Dog – provides a premium floor-cleaning service by happily mopping it with his tongue.

When you book us, just let us know which Henry you’d prefer to bring along… or if you’d like the full deluxe cleaning package with both.

And don’t worry… we also come with a dustpan and brush for those finishing touches. 😄

🦔⚡ CHARITY DAY – THORNE HEDGEHOG RESCUE ⚡🦔

Today we had the privilege of supporting Thorne Hedgehog Rescue as part of our monthly Powered with Purpose free charity day.

Lisa and her team do an absolutely incredible job caring for sick, injured and vulnerable hedgehogs, and we were genuinely proud to be asked to help.

🔧 What we did today:
• Installed a new extractor fan to improve airflow
• Added extra sockets for heat mats
• Helped make sure the hedgehogs stay warm and comfortable during the colder months

It might seem like small jobs — but they make a big difference to the daily care of these amazing little animals 🦔
