Folkingham Creative Arts is thrilled to announce that we have been become an approved Training Centre for the AMUSF Upholstery Diploma Course.

The Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) Diploma is the only trade-recognised upholstery qualification in the UK

A top quality set of dining chairs bought at auction for next to nothing and then transformed with this stylish cotton print fabric from I love their fabrics and the ethos behind their company. These chairs -What a pair! Helen has an eye for the wild and wonderful, and these American import fauteuil style chairs looked the part in this animal fabric. Grrreat work Helen. 🐯 I especially like the contrast blue bouclé fabric on the arms. We had fun taking these apart as they weren’t upholstered in the traditional manner. If you have something similar that you’d like to transform come along to and get creative on our upholstery courses. Our Spring school is running 9th -13th of February. Rob’s Family heirloom rocking chair came in wobbling in the wrong places and with layers of past fabrics. After stabilising and restoring the frame Rob spent some time choosing the right fabric. It was time well spent because this quilted velvet in forest green looks totally ace. I love this chair - not least because it suits the shorter in stature!
