🤔Ever wondered what’s actually hiding inside your hot water cylinder?

We recently took this classic copper hot water cylinder out of a customer's house in Salisbury because they were constantly running out of hot water and couldn't even manage to fill a single bath.
When we cut it open, we found it completely rammed with limescale!

🔍 How does this happen?

The hot water from your boiler passes through a heating coil inside the cylinder, transferring heat to your tap water. But when that coil gets caked in a thick layer of limescale (we reckon there’s about 5kg of scale on this one alone!), it creates a massive barrier.
