Another fantastic addition for our U12s Whites, with a huge thank you to S & S Joiners for kindly sponsoring and supplying the girls with their new football bags! 🎒👏

The bags look fantastic and will get plenty of use throughout the season, keeping all the girls’ kit together for training and matchdays.

The Lochside 10's pre-season rugby event held at Strathmore Rugby Club's Inchmacoble ground in Forfar was a big success.

On Friday evening and all day Saturday, teams were in action in the 10-a-side event with the 2026/27 campaign just round the corner.

In the boys’ under-18 section on Friday, Howe of Fife RFC came out on top.

On Saturday, Strathmore came out on top in the men’s over-35s tournament, Howe Harlequins defeated Dundee Women's Rugby in the final to win the women’s competition unbeaten and the Strathmore Purples won the men’s event.

A spokesman for the event said: “From the first whistle to the last pint, the event was a real team effort.

“Players, coaches, referees, volunteers, first aiders, bar staff, caterers, sponsors, photographers, grounds staff, committee members and the hundreds of supporters who created such a brilliant atmosphere all helped make Inchmacoble the place to be at the weekend.

“A big thank you must go to Mark and Glenn Feighan, whose tireless work throughout the day ensured the tournament ran seamlessly. From the first arrivals until the final pack-up they were constantly on the go, solving problems, supporting volunteers and making sure everyone enjoyed a great experience. Their commitment epitomises everything that is good about Strathmore Rugby Club.

“Special thanks also to the many volunteers working behind the scenes. Many were on site before the gates opened and were still clearing away long after the final trophy had been lifted. Events like this simply don’t happen without people willing to give up their time for the benefit of others.”
