Like many in France, we are expecting 40’c temperatures here today (north Mayenne). This little bed is set to face the challenge - full of flowers that appreciate hot, dry weather: hollyhocks, lavender, salvia amongst others. Here’s hoping the rest of the garden, not to mention the polytunnel, copes too. Good luck with the heat this week wherever you are based.

Baby pomegranate fruits forming on this bush planted five years ago. I wonder whether it will take another five years for them to approach edible size. Normally the odd few fruits only reach marble size. Does anyone have any experience that might apply?
