.🚧 JOB OPPORTUNITY – CIVILS TEAM 🚧
📍 Fort William, Highland
SCOT VANCE CONTRACTORS are expanding our civils team due to an increasing workload and ongoing framework agreements.
We are looking for experienced Civils/Utilities Operatives to form an additional team for ongoing utility and infrastructure works.
👷 EXCAVATOR OPERATOR
Minimum requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Blue Card – 360 Excavator above & below 10T
- Proven experience in civils and utilities groundworks
- Experience working around live services and utility installations
- Highway excavation and reinstatement experience is essential
- Full, clean driving licence
- Experienced and confident with towing
Desirable:
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) and valid DQC
- Lorry Loader / HIAB qualification
- Additional plant tickets
👷 CIVILS GROUNDWORKER
Minimum requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience in civils/utilities groundworks
- Experience with multi-utility installations
- Highway excavation and reinstatement experience
- Experience with drainage, concrete works, kerbing, paving and general civils
- Full, clean driving licence
- Experienced and confident with towing
⭐ DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The following would be a major advantage:
- NRSWA Operative
- EUSR / SHEA Power
- CPCS / NPORS 360 Excavator
- CPCS / NPORS Roller
- CPCS / NPORS Dumper
Training may be available for the right candidate.
🔨 THE ROLE
This is a full-time position, with overtime available as required.
The work will include ongoing utilities and civils projects, with occasional night work and emergency call-outs depending on our clients' requirements.
The role is physically demanding, with heavy lifting, hand digging and working outdoors in all weather conditions being part of the job.

💷 COMPETITIVE PAY
Competitive hourly rate – dependent on experience, qualifications and tickets held.
Overtime available.
