When going to a job to prevent doves coming down the chimney and you find a live one in there…….

Not all heroes wear capes……..some wear aftershave called “crumbs “ the birds love it………..🤣

Just kidding, the bird eventually flew away and a cap has been fitted to stop anymore coming down.

Paul Daniel’s would have been proud 😉😃

I hope you’ve all been enjoying the sunshine.

As much as I love the summer!……..Autumn is just round the corner, so I thought I’d send a quick update.

I’ve now sent out all of my reminders up until and including November.

With all this hot weather I haven’t been able to test my new stove fan, so I’ve had to improvise!

I can’t really rate it for use on a stove but it’s certainly pushing the smell of pizza around nicely (it’s very silent too)😀😎👌

Saturday morning top tip!

Fluffing up the door rope seal by gently pinching and working your way around the age. Can improve the seal around the door.

Over time the rope can flatten, so a gentle bit of manipulation can have great benefits for the stove’s efficiency.

Warning! If the glue behind the rope has failed, it may pull it out and need to be re secured.

This is an exciting product…..made locally too!

I received one last week, strangely though I’ve not really felt the need to light my stove and test it!

I’m sure we won’t have to wait too long for some cooler weather to try it out!😃

Changing door glass is such a simple job………as long as the fixings come out!

Where possible I always like to keep the screws moving when servicing the stove, in the hope that when needed, it’ll make my job that little bit easier!

I’ve just received a delivery of Ash, from Sadler firewood in wanstrow.

The Ash was harvested in Witham friary and processed in wanstrow……..that’s pretty local!

The logs are already well under 20 percent (11.5 and 15.4) and after a few more heat waves in the log store, they will definitely be good to go!

Scott is a lovely chap too. 😃😎
