Last night we had the pleasure of presenting the boys' junior section of Whitburn & Cleadon Panthers with their new kits - and what a group to be sponsoring.

The U11s wasted no time putting them to work, kicking off pre-season with a 4-1 win. Not a bad start in the new kit. πŸ‘

Coming off the back of a brilliant season - winning both the Winter League and Spring Cup - and with one of the boys selected to represent the district, there's plenty of momentum heading into the new campaign.

We're proud to support the club and can't wait to see what the new season brings. Get in there, Panthers! 🐾⚽

What does the future of WEEE recycling look like? Yesterday, we got to show some of our customers firsthand.

We hosted our first open day at the DEScycle pilot plant in Teesside - bringing clients including the team from Currys to see the technology in action rather than hear about it in a meeting room.

DEScycle's process recovers critical raw materials from printed circuit boards using Deep Eutectic Solvents - a cleaner, lower-energy alternative to traditional smelting that works across all grades of PCB. The materials come out in a usable form, recovered here in the UK.

For us, that's the part that matters most. Every tonne of circuit boards processed domestically is value that stays in the UK supply chain rather than being exported for someone else to recover. It's exactly the kind of innovation we want to be part of.

Thank you to Fred White and the DEScycle team for hosting, and to everyone who came along and asked the tough questions. That's how partnerships get better.

Congratulations to Wayne Farrer, our Employee of the Month.

Wayne has gone above and beyond to help keep our operations running smoothly, stepping up to support both yards while colleagues were away and ensuring customers continued to receive the level of service they expect.

Wayne also played an important role in helping prevent a trailer fire from escalating, demonstrating the awareness, teamwork and calm approach that are so important in our operational environments.

His commitment to supporting the wider team and keeping things moving makes a real difference to our customers.

Well done, Wayne!

We're heading to RWM at the NEC Birmingham - and we'd love to see you there. πŸ‘‹

Come and find us at stand RS-E184, where the team will be on hand to talk all things WEEE recycling, fridge processing, v**e collection, insulation panels, and ITAD. Whether you've worked with us for years or you're just curious about what direct-to-processor recycling actually looks like, we're always happy to have a chat.

RWM is one of the best two days in the waste and resources calendar for meeting people face to face.

See you there. πŸ™Œ

5,431,767 v**es processed in 2025. πŸš€

163 tonnes of material recovered, 35 tonnes of CO2e avoided - and behind every one of those devices is a retailer who chose a compliant, traceable collection route rather than letting v**es disappear into general waste.

This stream is growing fast. Thank you to every retailer and customer who's trusted us with their v**e waste in 2025 - this number belongs to you too.

Ten. Million. Devices. 🀯

In 2025, 10,047,998 small domestic appliances were processed through our SDA line - generating 37,386 tonnes of CO2e avoided. Our biggest carbon avoidance figure of any stream.

That number is built from thousands of customer collections across the year - every office clearance, every retail refit, every bag of small electricals that went through a proper route rather than a general waste bin. It adds up. And this year, it really added up.

Incredibly proud of everyone - customers and team alike - who made this happen. πŸ‘

We keep talking about carbon avoidance - so let us explain what we actually mean, using our own numbers.

Carbon avoidance isn't the same as offsetting. It means preventing greenhouse gas emissions before they occur - and every customer job contributes to it.

When we process a fridge, we recover the refrigerant gases before shredding - powerful greenhouse gases that never reach the atmosphere. When we recover metals and return them to the supply chain, we displace the emissions that producing those metals from scratch would have generated.

In 2025, our independently verified carbon avoidance figure was 59,024 tonnes of CO2e. That number was built one load at a time, by customers across the country choosing to do the right thing with their electrical waste.

We're proud of it - and so should our customers. 🌱

Every one of those units left a customer's site and went through one of our plants in-house - the refrigerant gases recovered, the metals returned to the supply chain. That carbon avoidance figure is the combined result of every customer who chose GAP Group.

Huge credit to our customers for making it happen - and to the teams at GAP Ice and GAP Alba who processed every single unit.

We're incredibly proud to share this - and this number belongs to our customers as much as it does to us.

In 2025, GAP Group avoided 59,024 tonnes of CO2e across our WEEE processing operations - independently verified by the Sustainable Certifications Group.

That number represents millions of devices collected, processed, and returned to the supply chain rather than lost to landfill. It's the result of millions of individual electrical items, across hundreds of sites, by customers who chose to do the right thing with their electrical waste.

It's a number we're genuinely proud of - and one that grows with every collection we run. Thank you to every customer and partner who's been part of it. πŸŽ‰

We'll be sharing what this is equivalent too shortly!
