Another Bathroom Transformation Completed in Sunderland 🛁✨

This one turned into a little more than a straightforward bathroom refit!

After stripping out the old bathroom, we discovered that the previous installation had caused significant water damage. The floor and timber joists underneath were rotten, so before we could even think about installing the new bathroom, everything affected had to come out.

We removed the old flooring and damaged joists, installed brand-new timber joists and flooring, and made sure we had a solid, sound base to build the new bathroom on.

Then came the transformation. 👌

The finished bathroom includes:

• Freestanding bath with brushed brass filler
• Separate shower enclosure with rainfall shower
• Brushed brass shower screen and fittings
• Statement stone-effect feature wall
• Contemporary dark vanity unit
• Countertop basin with brushed brass tap
• Illuminated mirror
• Wood-effect flooring
• New lighting and ventilation

The finished room looks fantastic, but on jobs like this we're just as proud of the work you can't see.

There would have been little point fitting a beautiful new bathroom over a compromised floor structure. It's why we always deal with unexpected problems properly before moving on with the installation.

🍽️ Thinking about a new kitchen?

Before choosing colours and worktops, spend a little time thinking about how your kitchen needs to work for you.

Here are five things we always discuss with our customers:

✔ How you use your kitchen every day

✔ Making the most of your storage space

✔ Choosing quality materials that will last

✔ Planning the right lighting

✔ Selecting an experienced installation team

A well-designed kitchen isn't just about how it looks—it's about creating a space that's practical, comfortable and enjoyable to use every day.

At Inspired Installations, we help homeowners throughout Gateshead, Newcastle and the surrounding areas design kitchens that combine style, functionality and quality workmanship.

🏡 A beautiful LVT floor starts long before the flooring is laid.

One of the biggest mistakes we see is new flooring being installed over an uneven or poorly prepared subfloor.

That's why we always take the time to prepare the floor correctly before fitting Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT).

Proper preparation means:

✅ A perfectly smooth finish
✅ Better adhesion
✅ Longer-lasting flooring
✅ Reduced risk of lifting or movement
✅ A more professional finish

On many of our projects, we'll screed or level the floor before installation because we know it's the foundation for a floor that will still look great years from now.

It's not the most exciting part of a renovation—but it's one of the most important.
