Full refurbishment of a property in Maybole, inside and out. More information to come as we go through. Roof completed a few weeks ago with some late nights in between the rain ☔️ and render stripped off ready for a new look.

And got the tight loft space insulated up-to standard while the roof was off 🤠

Quick wee job slotted in between projects to help solve customers damp issue.
Lack of ventilation and bridging caused the old plasterboard to become damp and fall away.
Issue resolved with clear airflow, insulated, vapour barrier and plasterboard ready for plasterer 👌

Busy as usual here at KBC, another two bathrooms completed at the one property. Customer was looking for an update and a practical solution to make their life easier with better disability access…and I believe the finished outcome has achieved that.

Full strip out, plumbing and soil pipes replaced and improved as they had collapsed and not flowing properly. Improved the shower flow with a new shower pump,solid walls created with 18mm ply to support grab rails. Tiled floor wet room with solid core kerradeco wet wall.

Joinery Apprenticeship!

We are offering the rare opportunity for a young person to join our team as an apprentice joiner and carpenter. You will be put through a joinery apprenticeship but also learn additional skills onsite; plumbing,roofing and more.

We are based in Dailly/Girvan, but cover Ayrshire and college attendance will be at Ayr College.

Applicants needs to be keen to learn, hard working and have a positive attitude.

Happy New Year to all my loyal customers and friends. 🥳

2025 has been an eventful year for KBC;
-start of the year I was still on crutches from my roofing accident
-our Nathan completed his joinery apprenticeship and promoted to site manager 🤠
-and we finished off the year with a new addition to the family…Georgia Kennedy born on 18th December

We had a strong year with a full house renovation, large garden room, a loft conversion with new slap out kitchen, garage conversion, bathrooms, kitchens and everything inbetween.

Looking forward to get stuck into our new projects for 2026, the new challenges ahead being a family of 4 and my wife’s new business Kilgrammie Cat Hotel…watch this space 🐈 🐈‍⬛

We still have spaces later on in the year so do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can bring your thoughts to reality.

For 2026 I have made the decision to give a new young person the opportunity to be put through their Joinery and Carpentry Apprenticeship. I would be looking to take someone on who is still at school, can show willingness to work and keen to learn to work out at odd weekends and holidays to get hands on experience to before full time apprenticeship after the summer.

If you love where you live, why move when you can renovate. Great project recently completed,for a fantastic customer to work for always keeping us fed and watered. Full loft conversion, new gutters and facias, 2 new bathrooms, kitchen and dining room knocked through to make a great size kitchen/diner space, relocated the back door to maximise the space.
