It's been a while since we've posted so here's one of our latest projects.

The brief here was to strip out the existing, dated shower room and fit a sleek, new, modernised bathroom.

The job wasn't without it's challenges due to the metal beamed construction of the house for running in new pipe work however we adapted and overcame.

Firstly came the strip out, removing all sanitary ware, plastic ceiling, poorly constructed framing for the plastic ceiling, some rotten floorboards and removal of some wall tiles, floor tiles and backer board.

Next came dot-dab of plaster board where required, then came new framing for new ceiling and a fresh plasterboard ceiling which was then duly skim coated by our plasterer. Our electrician was next in installing 5 spotlights on a dimmer switch and cable work for LED mirror.

Next we ran in the pipework in the appropriate positions for the new sanitary ware and followed that up by sheeting the floor. That was followed by installation of the bath. then came our tiler installing 600mm x 300mm wall tiles and 600mm x 600mm floor tiles leaving an exceptional finish as always.

That just left the sanitary ware and new towel warmer to be fitted out and handed back to our customers who were delighted with all aspects of their new bathroom.

Our latest project was to rip out a bathroom that had definitely seen better days. We stripped everthing back to the brickwork with the exception of one wall and dot and dabbed new moisture resistant plasterboard. We also lowered the ceiling to disguise a "decorative" beam which in turn allowed us to install dimmable spot lights.
Next we installed an 1800mm x 800mm bath with centre taps. Then in came our very experienced tilers and knocked it out the park. After that came the final fix and installation of the illuminated/Bluetooth mirror so our clients can have a relaxing soak listening to their favourite tunes with dimmed lights.

The final two pictures attached show the bathroom prior to upgrading.

Our brief on this past project in East Kilbride was to take out a bath and fit a new shower tray, shower valve and enclosure.

We began by ripping out the bath and existing shower, and first fixing the new pipework. The joiner was next up to repair the floor then we returned to lay the 1700mm x 700mm shower tray. Once the adhesive set, the joiner returned and fitted the wallboards to an excellent standard.
After that, we went back in and fitted out the shower valve, ceiling rose rainfall head, hand held shower and the enclosure which has totally transformed this bathroom.

This dangerous situation was caused by the internal flue on the original boiler being incorrectly fitted. From day 1 it caused the condensate (acidic) water to eat through the external flue and then the boiler casing.

This is exactly the reason you should get your boiler serviced annually to prevent the expense of replacing a boiler that should have had years left in it.
