Mechdoors are a Glasgow based company specialising in the manufacture, installation, repair and maintenance of industrial doors.

We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Door Engineer.

Responsibilities will include the on-site installation, repair and maintenance of both manual and electric industrial doors and gates, predominantly within Central Scotland but with the possibility of extending to the rest of the UK on occasions.

Candidates must have previous mechanical and electrical experience working with manual and electric industrial doors.

PASMA and IPAF would also be preferred. Product training will be provided.

The position will involve both working as a lead engineer in a team of two, and also working on your own.

The position will include a works vehicle and mobile phone. A clean current driving licence is essential.

Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday from 8.00am to 3.30pm, with overtime as required particularly involving regular early starts and late finishes. We also operate an emergency call-out service.

Pay rates, depending on experience, are likely to be between £13/hr and £15/hr.

Hi all,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers, supply chain and staff for their continued hard work and support throughout this most difficult of years.

As it has been a very challenging time for everyone, we feel it is appropriate to support charities who have been unable to hold events to raise funds.

Dear all,

With reference to the ongoing development of the Coronavirus outbreak, we have plans in place to ensure business continuity to support key services.

Following the announcement by Prime Minister Boris Johnston on Monday night, we have taken the decision that all non-essential work will cease as of Tuesday 24 March 2020.

We are only attending essential reactive & emergency repairs where practical until further notice.

All manufacturing, installations and maintenance visits will resume only when appropriate and based on official advice.

This is for everyone’s benefit, so we all need to be socially responsible as much as possible so that we can all get through this together and be stronger once it is over.
