🏡 Another lovely review from a very happy customer! ⭐️

Having work done on your home can feel stressful, so it means a lot to hear that our team made the whole experience feel seamless for our customer in Newton Mearns.

Here’s what they had to say about the team and their experience…

“Having any work done on your house can be a stressful and nerve-wracking experience. However, we needn’t have worried!

Dale and Brian came to see us early on to understand exactly what we wanted to achieve with the summer house. From the very beginning of the project, they listened carefully to our wish for the summer house to be sympathetic to the main house.

They provided us with a very detailed plan and talked us through the entire process which continued throughout the entire project, their professionalism and open communication really helped us feel part of the project.

The build itself was seamless; our main contacts were Martin and Garry who kept us up to speed with timeframes and progress. To be honest every single trade that visited the site were professional, courteous and hardworking. I cannot recommend Brian, Dale and their team enough.”

Well done team ABS!👏

What a way to end the week with AMAZING 5-star review for our team!

At the beginning of this year, we completed a full house refurb, loft conversion and front dormer creation project in Motherwell.

The house was in need of a lot of modernisation, as it hadn’t been improved in many years.

We had actually carried out minor works in the property on previous occasions as the house was passed onto other family members that we have also done work for before.

The renovation and new loft & dormer has made this a fantastic family home for many years to come, giving the property a new lease of life.

Here’s what they had to say about the team and their experience…

“We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out by Robert, Luke, Brian and Stevie on our house renovations. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable and clearly took great pride in their work. The renovations were completed to a high standard, and the quality of workmanship is evident throughout our home.

What particularly stood out was the way they dealt with any unforeseen issues that arose during the project. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and any challenges were handled efficiently, calmly and with clear communication. This gave us real confidence throughout the process and made what could have been a stressful time feel much more manageable.

We are extremely pleased with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering renovation work. Their attention to detail, professionalism and commitment to delivering a high-quality finish were outstanding. A huge thanks also to Dale for his overseeing of the project and ensuring everything was running smoothly.”

Well done team ABS!

We are making great progress on our 5-bed detached house build in Carluke…🤩

The team have been working hard in recent weeks to get this build out of the ground and up to the roof truss stage.

This plot was not an easy one to deal with due to the gradient of the existing land. With the plot levelled, we have been able to complete the foundations, underbuild, solum, steelwork and ground floor timber kit stages to get these fantastic trusses into position.

As Carluke is rural, this will be a lovely 1.5 storey property which will be in-keeping with the other properties in the street.

It will have a large combined Kitchen, Dining & Living area to the rear, with separate Utility, formal Lounge, double Garage, downstairs WC, Office / Bedroom on the ground floor, with another 4 Bedrooms, family Bathroom and 2 Ensuites on the first floor.

This new stunning home will sit within its own large plot which will provide over 400m2 of garden space to the rear, with loads of ample parking to the front.

The exterior will be a nice blend of feature stone, smooth render, Cedral cladding and Anthracite Grey windows and doors.

We’re excited to see this one progress in the coming months! Keep an eye on our socials for updates…👀👀👀

Another outstanding 5-star review for our team! They are on fire right now!❤️‍🔥

Our team recently completed a full house refurbishment for a returning client and here’s what they had to say about the team and their experience…

“We recently did a full house refurbishment and having used ABS before, we knew the quality of workmanship we were getting. So much so that we were willing to wait for a year due to their busy schedule, as we only wanted them to do the work.

We loved working with Dale, Brian and the team. They have such a ‘can do’ attitude, any requests we had were brought to fruition, even if it seemed impossible.

Dale and the team kept us up to date every step of the way and always considerate of budgets, always trying to keep the cost as low as they could.

We are so pleased with our new home and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again!

Thanks again ABS!”

We hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Well done team ABS!

Another AMAZING 5-star review for our team! 🤩

Last year our team completed an office renovation in Airdrie, and we are extremely proud of them all!

Here’s what they had to say about the team and their experience…

Atkinson Building Services have been absolutely amazing from start to finish.

The project management throughout was excellent, with everything well organised, clearly communicated and handled professionally from beginning to end. The workmanship, reliability and attention to detail have all been first class.

The staff were second to none — polite, respectful, hardworking and a pleasure to have around. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was carried out to an excellent standard.

It is so refreshing to deal with a builder who is honest, dependable and genuinely takes pride in their work. We are absolutely delighted with everything and would not hesitate to recommend Atkinson Building Services to anyone looking for quality building work.”

Amazing all the way — thank you!

Well done team ABS!👏

What an AMAZING 5-star review to start the week to!

Our team recently completed a double storey extension in Cambuslang, and as you can see the customers “were consistently impressed” by the team!

Here’s what they had to say about the team and their experience…
“We recently completed a two-storey, 90 m² extension with ABS, and the process could not have been easier. We had seen ABS’s work at several properties in the area and were consistently impressed by the quality of their workmanship and the progress achieved from week to week.

When we received planning permission, we knew we did not want to work with anyone other than ABS. I contacted Dale in January 2025 to discuss the project; as ABS already had existing contracts in place, we waited until September 2025 to begin the build, but it was absolutely the right decision to wait for the contractor we wanted rather than the one who could start soonest.

The tender stage was very clear, with ABS producing a detailed document that outlined the cost of each aspect of the project, the contract protections for both builder and client, and the payment terms.
During the build, the competence of ABS staff and subcontractors was clear to see.

Dale project-managed the whole build, with the right materials and trades arriving on site like clockwork. ABS were open to delivering the exact materials and specification we wanted, including specific sandstone, picture windows, and traditional Crittall doors.

We had the pleasure of working with a range of ABS site staff, including Brian, Stephen, Gary, and Lewis; however, the mainstays for us were Martyn and Joe, who were on site for most of the build. Their work rate, professionalism, and personalities were a joy to have on site.

Our project was delivered on time and on budget. Despite the relatively large scale of the build, it was essentially stress-free, with everything happening as it should and when it should. I have no doubt this was due to the hands-on way Dale and Brian manage every project.

We cannot recommend ABS highly enough: they are transparent, competent, and experienced in delivering complex projects. Thank you to the whole ABS team.”

Well done team ABS!

I'm sure it has been said many times about Brian and I...“like father, like son”, but now it's Harvey that has been continuing the trend! 🚜🪏

Although we've been quiet on our socials recently due to how busy we have been, our newest member of the team has been breaking ground on our new development project!👀

It’s taken him quite some time to get this far with his little digger, but now that he’s called in reinforcements from the big guys, we're well underway! 👷🏠

We recently carried out a larger renovation and alteration project local to our base in Cambuslang.

We reconfigured both the basement and ground floor areas, to alter the layouts to make the spaces better suit the clients' needs.

The project wasn't without its curveballs as the property was an older Sandstone style home, but that's where our team's experience comes into its own.

Here's what the client said in their review...

"Dale, Brian and the team at Atkinson Building Services were excellent throughout our project.

Not a small endeavour (basement renovation/refit, new shower room, new staircase, remodelled kitchen including new external doors/windows and a raised deck), the guidance provided from initial conversation to planning and building control right through delivery and completion was invaluable.

I would also endorse the comments in other reviews that have highlighted the quality and professionalism of the team (and subcontractors) – excellent communication, friendly, courteous, reliable, conscientious.

We would highly recommend the team at ABS."

We are very grateful for another fantastic review and are looking forward to carrying out more projects in Cambuslang in the coming months.

Well done team!

Another great review from one of our clients for an internal alteration project.

We removed internal walls, relocated the Kitchen and reconfigured the layout of the house to better suit how the clients wanted to use their home.

We are grateful for such an excellent review and it's testament to the team's effort across all aspects of the project to deliver it so successfully.

Here's what the client had to say about their experience with us...

"Atkinson Building Services completed an internal remodelling of our home including removing walls, installing a new kitchen, office and en suite and I would not hesitate to recommend their work.

From start to finish, the whole process was stress-free (well as stress-free as building work can be!), thanks to Dale’s excellent project management. Having everything coordinated by him made such a difference—he kept things running smoothly, communicated well, and ensured every stage was completed on time and any issues raised.

All of the team were reliable - they started the project exactly when they said they would and always turned up each day on time which gave us full confidence in the process.
The team, including all the sub-contractors, were professional, skilled, and worked to a very high standard.

Beyond their workmanship, they were also friendly, respectful, and non-invasive—working around us with minimal disruption. They kept everything tidy throughout, which made a huge difference to our experience.

Atkinson Building Services delivered both top-quality work and a positive customer experience, invaluable when undertaking this kind of work in your home. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, well-managed, and high-quality building services."

Well done to the team!
