A new community workshop is taking shape in Glasgow — and we need your help to make it happen.

The Joinery Hub Glasgow will give adults and young people a welcoming, hands-on place to learn traditional joinery, CNC and digital-design skills. More than that, it will give people the chance to build confidence, connect with others and see what they are capable of.

We are aiming to raise £5,000 to help get the workshop fully equipped and ready to deliver training.

🛠️ EXCITING NEWS FROM THE FM JOINERY TEAM! 🛠️
We are absolutely thrilled to announce a massive milestone for our brand new sister social enterprise: The Joinery Hub Glasgow has officially been accepted and registered by Companies House as a Community Interest Company (CIC)!
This new hub will focus entirely on providing professional woodwork, 3D modelling, and digital manufacturing training—all geared toward driving positive youth development and supporting mental health right here in Glasgow.
We want to say a huge thank you to all of our FM Joinery clients and supporters who have helped us grow to the point where we can give back to the community like this. This is just the beginning!

✨ Custom-built warmth meets bold personality ✨

This bespoke display unit was crafted using Finsa oak MDF, finished with natural oil and wax to enhance the rich grain and natural texture of the wood. Designed to combine practical storage with elegant open shelving, it creates a striking focal point while keeping the space functional and inviting.

A balance of clean lines, warm oak tones, and thoughtful craftsmanship — made to complement both modern and character-filled interiors. 🌿📚🎶

Another one completed ✔️

Full rebuild on this glass roof frontage after significant rot to the sill, bottom rail and mullions. Everything stripped back to sound structure and replaced with new Accoya throughout.

The mullions and stub sill were resin-fixed using stainless steel rods to create a solid, long-lasting structural connection. All drilling and alignment was carried out using in-house 3D printed cutting and drilling jigs to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Also replaced the roof capping and repaired a hidden section of rot that had developed behind it — something that would’ve continued to cause issues if left.

Accoya was the ideal choice here given the exposure — minimal movement, excellent durability, and a long service life. Materials supplied by Express Timber Products Ltd — spot on as always 👌
