⚠️The Met Office have issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice across the UK this week.❄️
It's always wise to be prepared for a power cut. Here are a few tips to help you stay safe and comfortable:
🔌Call 105 to report a power cut. It’s free and works no matter who you pay your bill to. Save it to your contacts now
🔦Keep a torch handy in case the lights go out
🔋Charge your power bank so you can keep your devices powered
🛏️Have some extra blankets nearby, your heating may be affected
🪟Close curtains or blinds to keep warmth in and draughts out
🥶Keep fridge/freezer doors closed to maintain temperature, check your appliance manual for how long food stays safe
⚠️Beware of fallen power lines – power lines may have fallen because of heavy snow so beware of this when venturing out of your home. Always treat them as live and report them right away by calling 105.
