2 x 22kW Zappi 2.1 EV chargers using with freestanding pedestal and distribution board
Working with the client who was conveniently a civil’s contractor, they completed ground works in preparation for our electrical installation. We supplied an EV block which is a precast concrete block with duct entries below ground to route our cable to under the surface. This clever method allows ground works to be completed before electrical with a duct installed between the block and the building for cable installation.
MyEnergi’s face lift pedestal is powder coated in black, very stylish and durable and can hold 2 chargers. Placing a dual pedestal between 2 spaces allows both spaces to be served from one point and saves using 2 pedestals that would substantially increase costs.
In the warehouse we upgraded the board to include a surge protection device and type A RCD required by the chargers. Unlike many other commercial chargers the Zappi has PEN fault protection that removes the requirement for an earth rod outside or expensive Matt:e board.
User friendly features include a digital display and PIN code access. The Zappi can be managed from the desktop portal with different PIN codes for users to monitor usage and third party financial management software can be added to charge users via OCPP.
22kW chargers can deliver 90 miles per hour of charge to compatible vehicles.
PWS are OZEV approved installers we saved the client £700 on this installation with the workplace grant of £350 per socket available.
