All three mean a lot, but I’ll be honest, Scotland’s Most Trusted Home Improvement Company is the one I’m particularly proud of

For a small family business like ours, trust is everything

People are inviting us into their homes, spending their hard earned money with us and trusting myself and the team to do exactly what we said we would do. To even be in the running for an award like this is massive for us.

I think it’s also a really good reflection of how our customers see Calibur as a business. Not just the finished windows, doors or extensions, but how we communicate, how we treat people’s homes, the advice we give and how we conduct ourselves from the first conversation right through to finishing the job.

We’ve never tried to be the biggest company out there. We’d much rather be known as one of the businesses people can genuinely trust to do things properly.

To then be recognised for our window replacements AND our home extensions and conversions as well makes this one pretty special.

It’s one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves

There never is a perfect time to start a business

You’ll never have enough money in the bank

You’ll never know everything there is to know

You’ll never feel 100% ready

If you wait for the perfect moment, you’ll spend your whole life waiting

There’s an old proverb that says:

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today.”

That couldn’t be more true

When I started Calibur, I didn’t have all the answers. I learned on the job, made mistakes, fixed them, learned again, and kept moving forward. Believe me I’ve f**ked up more times than another person has even tried

Sometimes you’ve just got to dive in feet first and read the manual while you’re driving

Business isn’t about knowing everything before you begin. It’s about being willing to figure it out as you go

Another nice review came in today from Chris in Paisley ⭐️

Chris lives on a main carriageway near Glasgow airport and the traffic going by every day with screaming ambulances pretty regularly too were the bane of his life! In this instance we recommended our REHAU UK triple glazed Total 70 windows with ‘Saint Gobain Stadip Silence’ acoustic glass, and honestly the difference is mind blowing! 🤯

I thought Paisley was a quiet wee toon?…… 👀 😅

Anyway job done, 3 up as usual when it’s a flat! Standard!
