Tv feature wall in my own house , custom built by Chris Gordon CG Joinery Glasgow to suit the tv, doors hand built with routered edges. The attention to detail and the late nights is greatly appreciated. The electrical work was done by myself including spots above side walls, spots on shelf , led tapes behind tv wired directly from switch at door and all sockets wired out of sight so no cables/ leads can be seen.

Finally the Venetian plastering, the last stage which has just been completed by Kmac Venetian Plasterers, they created this one off design and has turned out amazing.

Chuffed with how this turned out and hope to be doing a lot more of these in the future

After a lot of thought I’ve decided to start working again and adhere to the government guidelines. I will be returning on monday 27th April.

All electrical works will be available big or small but I would ask if my clients could follow social distancing guidelines as will I while carrying out all work.

Please note due to some wholesalers being closed I may be unable to source some materials or it may take longer than normal to get.

To kick things back off I’ll be doing the £50 outdoor socket deal ( for circuits protected by rcd) and £65 for non protected circuits.

Another soffit light install for Connor and Danny in their new build in Uddingston
6 on the front , 4 on the back , 5 above the garage and a new up and down wall light , all with cool white lamps. Garage lights independently switched from inside at the front door and the soffit lights controlled via an electronic timer.

Kevin Jenkins Electrical services is proud to announce that we will be able to undertake EICR and PAT testing by the end of September. We have been placed on a probationary scheme with SELECT as the first step in the process of becoming a full member.

Here are our prices for EICR reports and PAT tests.
EICR
1 bed - £80
2 bed - £100
3 bed - £120
Additional rooms are £20 extra per room ( conservatory, out buildings etc)
special rates can be negotiated with letting agents or private landlords

Report includes an in depth inspection and testing of all circuits in the property and visual inspection of accessories for damage. Cover letter and quotation for any remedial work (if any).

PAT TESTING

Standard fee of £45 plus additional £0.80 per item . This includes plugtop repair/ replacement if required, fuse replacement if required , pass / fail labels applied , pass/ fail records.

Tenants cooker stopped working, landlord replaced cooker undertaking the work himself and still same problem, this is what I found , huge potential fire risk caused by loose connections at the outlet, there was also no RCD protection covering the cooker circuit. The heat had spread 3 inches up the cable and had melted. I raggled the wall out and repositioned the outlet cutting away the melted section of cable. So in the end had cost the landlord way more than expected instead of letting the professionals take care of it at the start.

It’s a small price to pay for yours and others safety. No matter how small the job is we can do it ✅
