Does your consumer unit look like this? ❌
If your property hasn’t been rewired in over 30 years, chances are it’s not up to current safety standards — and could even be putting your home at risk.

Common issues we see:

• Old, non-compliant fuse boards with no RCD protection

• Vulcanised Indian Rubber (VIR) cables, which degrade over time and pose serious fire and electric shock hazards

• Overloaded circuits and unsafe DIY modifications

Often, a full rewire isn’t needed — a consumer unit upgrade and compliance works may be enough. We recommend an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) to assess the condition of your electrics and identify any upgrades needed to meet current industry standards.
