Customer almost had a serious issue here.

Protective devices doing their job though!

This was the first emergency job we had carried out since the announcement from the PM yesterday.

For a short while, I felt ridiculous arriving at the customer’s home with surgical gloves and a half face mask, but for the moment, this is now the new norm.

We have postponed all non-essential work and will continually reassess based on the most up-to-date guidance available.

After some serious considerations, we are still available for emergency works.

Here is our protocol for the foreseeable future:

- Call us on 0141 958 0474, we are available 24/7

- We will attempt to talk you through your electrical issue

- If we are unable to rectify your electrical problem over the phone, and the work is deemed to be an emergency or is affecting vulnerable individuals, we can arrange a visit.

- All our tools have been cleaned and wiped with 60% alcohol wipes

- We will attend with suitable (P3R) face-masks and surgical gloves

- All we ask is for handles to be wiped down in your home and to try and maintain where possible, the 2m distance as mandated by the government

- All rates are as before the crisis
