Today marks one year since the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Dave Rankin.

Dave is remembered with great fondness by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with him. His kindness, dedication and positive spirit left a lasting impression across our business, and his absence continues to be deeply felt.

Our thoughts remain with Dave’s wife, Louise, his family and all those who loved him.

Forever remembered and greatly missed.

We are seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Subcontractors, for an upcoming project in the Plymouth area.

The ideal candidates will have experience in refurbishment and installation of Kingspan products. Essential knowledge of health and safety procedures, along with excellent communication skills at all levels.

Strong organisational capabilities, and self-motivation are essential attributes. Candidates must be team-oriented, proactive, and committed to meeting project goals.

Key responsibilities include:

✅ Attending project briefings as required, fully understanding customer requirements, risk assessments, and method statements, and proactively suggesting improvements to enhance project outcomes.

Project details:
Replacement of existing roof at 2,087m2 and walls at 2,140m2 along with associated flashings, this also includes the replacement of purlins from timber to metal.

We’re proud to showcase our latest project at Plean Precast, where our team was appointed to refurbish the roof of an operating manufacturing facility—addressing ongoing issues with condensation and poor thermal performance.

Throwback Thursday | McVitie’s Factory, Stockport

Taking it back 10 years to one of our earlier “Spotlights on Service” projects at the McVitie’s factory in Stockport—home of the iconic Jaffa Cakes, with over 42 million produced every week.

Working as both contractor and consultant, our team delivered roofing and cladding refurbishment works within a live 24/7 production environment—collaborating closely with the client to ensure safety, quality, and minimal disruption throughout.

Even back then, our focus was the same as it is today:

Spotlight on Service: Unite Students – Cedar House, Liverpool

We’re proud to showcase our latest project at Cedar House, where our team was appointed to assess and refurbish a roof that had reached the end of its serviceable life—causing water ingress and disruption to residents.

Through a carefully planned, phased approach, we delivered a full roof replacement while maintaining building integrity and minimising disruption in a live student accommodation environment.

A key part of the project included the safe removal and reinstallation of the existing solar PV system, along with upgrades such as enhanced edge protection and permanent access systems—ensuring long-term safety, performance, and maintainability.

Appointed to upgrade an ageing flat roof in a challenging coastal environment, our team delivered a full overlay system incorporating new insulation to improve thermal performance, detailed roof finishes, and a smart black edge trim to complete the look.
