2026 has been a busy year so far.

Here’s a small selection of some of the projects we’ve completed over the last few months.

No two jobs are ever the same. One day we’re carrying out roofing repairs, the next we’re rebuilding stonework, laying patios, completing drainage works, undertaking structural alterations, or helping transform outdoor spaces.

We work with homeowners, facilities management companies, commercial clients and property managers across Fife, Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.

Whatever the size of the project, our aim remains the same, quality workmanship, honest advice and a job completed properly.

Full strip out and rebuild

This decking area had completely run its course. The frame was past saving, so we didn’t patch it — we stripped it right back and replaced the full subframe before re-decking the entire area.

New structural frame, properly set and secured.
Fresh decking boards installed clean and tight.
Solid underfoot and built to last.

No shortcuts, no covering over old problems — just doing it properly from the ground up.

If your decking is starting to feel soft, uneven or tired, it might be time for more than just new boards.

A small area done properly

This one was a compact space created for bin storage, but as always we treat the small jobs with the same care as the big ones.

Dug out to solid ground, minimum 100mm Type 1 installed and compacted, then laid on a full wet bed for a long-lasting finish. Finished off with a multi-size sandstone that really lifts what was just a muddy patch before.

Even a simple bin area can look tidy and well thought out when it’s done right.

This hooded lintel was a joy to dress.

As stonemasons, we’ve dressed and carved a lot of stone over the years. Our training began as apprentices working on historic buildings, where even early on we were trusted with complex stonework — something that, looking back, was a real privilege.

These days, we take just as much pride in work like this. It isn’t simple by any means and involves a lot of fine detail, but there’s something very satisfying about seeing a piece of stone carefully shaped and fitted back into a home where it belongs.

The best part is that this lintel now sits on a normal house, on a normal street in Edinburgh — and most people passing by will never notice the hours of craftsmanship that went into it. But that quiet attention to detail is exactly what we believe makes the difference.

Another project completed

We’ve recently finished this bespoke raised decking area for a customer, all designed and built in-house by our team.

The project included custom glass panels with stainless steel posts and handrail, a full replacement of the decking frame, and grey composite decking for a clean, modern finish. We also added a slabbed area at the end to give the customer extra space for storage and practicality.

This has completely transformed the space into a safe, stylish and low-maintenance area that can be enjoyed all year round.

We were recently asked by JMS Stonemason to come in and assist on this job after a significant bulge appeared on the gable end of the building.

Working alongside JMS Stonemason, we helped carefully strip back the affected area, remove the unstable sections and rebuild it back up using new stone. All replacement stone was hand-dressed and matched in as best as possible to the existing building – even though it’s new material, we always do our best to blend it in sympathetically.

There was some heavily weathered stonework inside the wall once opened up, so a lot of care was taken to stabilise and rebuild this safely.

Big thanks to JMS Stonemason for bringing us in on this one – great team effort all round. 👏
