Sometimes the difference between a good system and a great system comes down to the design stage.

Originally this install was planned using a ballast mounting system, but with the property sitting high up and exposed near the coast, wind loading restrictions meant we were limited to just 10 panels.

After a full redesign using a fixed mounting system with Sarnafil material, we were able to DOUBLE the solar array capacity and install:

☀️ 20 x Aiko 490W panels
⚡ 8kW Sigenergy inverter
🔋 9.04kWh Sigenergy battery storage
🚗 Sigenergy EV charger

All working together within one intelligent ecosystem.

Once the battery is fully charged from solar, excess generation is automatically diverted into the EV charger — maximising self-consumption and making sure as little energy as possible goes back to the grid.

Gary’s channel is a brilliant resource for helping people properly understand what they actually need from solar and battery storage — cutting through the noise and giving real, practical insight.
