A Big Holiday Post βοΈπ©π¨βπ©βπ§βπ§
Off on holiday for a week, its very very much needed. Yet again the day to day of doing this has come to the point where the batteries need charging.
Self employed life has its benefits but the pitfalls in recent years for me personally are taking their toll more frequently this year than they did 5 or 6 years ago.
Life is busy, kids are busy and work is busier. However after a recent wobble at work, which I just always put down to "doing to much", I've decided from next year that the stress levels need to come down. Organising jobs, organising people, communicating with companies and customers 18 hours a day, emails, kids clubs, time spent with the family, time for myself and on top of it all, actually working as a person on the job.
Its fu***ng hard!
This isn't a moan its an observation that im trying to get out my head and onto this to let people understand what this job entails.
I do feel privileged to have done so many wonderful projects for so many fantastic customers. It will continue and I hope it does for many years to come. This benefits me and my family more than it hinders us but there will be changes.
The old saying that you're the master of your own destiny. Im now seeing it more that I need to take it by the balls and make it work for us. Im only here once and im no use stressed, tired or in the dumps due to the weight of my work.
Hopefully many incoming changes to help ease the strain.
See you all on the otherside
