We got called by a new client who had moved into a new property and was unsure on the safety of the wiring. We carried out a EICR and found a few issues that would require improvement-
💡gas pipe used as earth electrode
💡open back down lights in kitchen
💡no safety cut out in immersion
💡metal lighting with no earth
💡lack of earthing to external sheds
💡lighting not suitable in bathroom, lack of IP protection
With no smoke alarms this would also be highly recommended.
