This customer wanted to open up a space between the front and back rooms whilst simultaneously blocking up the first doorway into the living room. A simple enough job with some extra storage where the doorway used to be. On the living room side you see a built in shelving unit at the top, and on the hallway side a built in shoe storage at the bottom- nifty!

As part of a house renovation and extension, the customer wanted to replace the stair case choosing this stunning oak and glass combination by . By combining the different elements of natural wood and light, by using glass, you’re left with a feeling of ample space, warmth and grandeur. To make the most of the task in hand, the customer also requested under stair cupboards to house the gas meter, utilities and all those bits you’d want hidden. For this, we chose using a combination of doors and end panels.

Sneaky little storage solution!

Storage solutions are always something we need. This custom built shelving unit provides useful storage in a useless space. Deep enough for books, Knick-knacks, or, in this instance, toys. Keeping the door open can also conceals what’s behind.

This shelf was meticulously painted in mallow white. To match the existing woodwork.

A toilet and vanity unit from .

A nice and easy job which adds a bit of personality to the bathroom without too much hassle. It hides and makes use of that awkward space between the toilet and basin with the added storage, which is always beneficial. Win win!

My current project is something a bit different, which is always exiting .

The clients are working hard to source reclaimed materials to kit out a new kitchen, utility room and shower room.

This post is all about the floors!
The kitchen before, always felt cold underfoot with large, lacklustre tiles. I removed these with a lot of might and batteries and laid some reclaimed timber which had just been removed from another house.

The beautiful vinyl Lattice tile in Cornflower Blue was also a great find, being sold as surplus. I made sure to pack out the utility room with the right thickness of board so that the vinyl tiles laid flush with the reclaimed timber flooring.

Lastly, the clients requested I fitted a coir mat at the back door, also keeping it flush with the reclaimed timber.
