And now for something completely different …
Kokedama
This is a useful way of making even the shadiest place in your garden interesting.
What is a Kokedama?
Translating from "koke" meaning moss and "dama" meaning ball, kokedama is the practice of suspending the root ball of a plant in a mud ball that is coated in a sheet of moss. To display, this plant can be secured to a piece of driftwood, placed in a wood bowl, placed in a clear container, or suspended from twine or monofilament fishing line.
For part of our Christmas decorations, I turned these cyclamen into Kokedama, which when combined with tiny led bulbs, gave an interesting dimension to our porch.
