The Stump grinder in action.

As people are starting to get their gardens summer ready we’re back out in action this weekend with the stump grinder. Grinding stumps is a cheaper, less intrusive way of getting rid of stumps and can quite often get where a digger can’t. Why don’t you drop us a message and we will get you a free no obligation quote.

Meet the team:

Next to join the team was Joe.

After being self employed, doing small building and plastering works Joe got a whiff that could be a few quid to be made and decided to implant himself in the family business (still waiting on that few quid).

Joe started life as a bricklayer (NVQ level 3) but always enjoyed the outside, hands on work involved in groundworks. He claims to be the best digger driver amongst the Eastwood crew but that’s because nobody else gets a shout when he is on site.

A busy bank holiday weekend here at Eastwood HQ, with the stump grinder loaded up at 8am, we’re attacking stumps on 4 different sites today. Stump grinding is quickly becoming the new norm on Saturday mornings. Then we’re running some bricks up to damp course tomorrow, so that we can pour the oversites next week. Then spending our hangover free Monday prepping a job for a new patio install, after all what’s the point in bank holiday weekends if the pubs are closed.

One for the conspiracy theorists out there.

If you’re one of the people that believe all of this has been caused by 5g towers, then we have a couple of do’s and don’ts for you.

Do’s

Read more (not on Facebook)
Take less advice from David Icke

Don’t

Try and pull these towers over

Here are some examples of the foundations we have put in for telecommunication masts in the past. Most are bored to 4.5m deep, the frame is then orientated to point north, before being filled with a high grade concrete, so the mast can be erected just 2 days after the foundation is laid.

As well as covering small domestic jobs, we also cover larger civils and commercial works.

Call now on 07909684414.

Meet the team:

Over the next few weeks we’re going to be introducing you to the guys that will hopefully be completing your next project.

First up is Richard.

Only seemed right to start with the business founder, so how did it all start?

After always been involved with engineering and building works, building his first pair of houses in 1982, he bought a mini digger in 2012 with a eye on taking a steadier life working towards semi retirement.

However, he soon decided that retirement isn’t for him (a sentiment he still shares at 64) and worked day and night to grow the business to what it is now.

En garde!........ hold on wrong fencing.

On this job we removed 14 conifers, removed all waste, ground down the stumps and installed a new fence using concrete posts, gravel boards and heavy duty panels then to the side of the house installed another new fence with an access gate.

The amount of light the conifers blocked from that area of the garden, meant that nothing else in that area would flourish, with the new fence it’s getting sun for 6 hours a day.

So if your garden is in need of some TLC why not give us a call to get a free quote on 07909684414
