Back to this garden I know well, it really is changing in here now with a new summer house new patio and paving new fencing the post goes on.

All supplied locally form our Jacksons Timber Limited Calder Bridge. Fully treated timbers with concrete gravel boards, morticed posts, fancy caps and their own arched lattice panels. Bit of a run on the garden but that’s not unusual here. More to come on this job.

This nice house on the top end of Egremount is deceiving in size. Front and back repoint with the kitchen extension added. The usual wear and tear on this one with a few little issues. All now sorted

COMPLETE

This is fairly large patio measuring over 43sqm. Set in Global Raje Sandstone Flags and finished with Sika Fastfix resin grout. Retained the lawn with sleepers for a nice effect and set the drainage into the main drain. That drain was then raised and changed for an insert tray type which allows me to cut a flagstone to fit the top. A full compacted sub base on this job as it’s such large area. Then in with a good quality mix and steady laying of flags

I’ve been pressed with the Global flags they are more than adequate for this type of work and there reasonably priced if you come though is.

This home is in a beautiful part of the county and has large well tended gardens complete with its own Peacock and hen.

The property has suffered with water lock over the years and the faces are showing it too. However as you can see it’s all in rather nice shape now. A full rake out of the old chisel edge mortar and in with a full lime hydrate mix. The weather has played havoc with both the job and my diary but now the weathers settling again I should catch up fast. Many thanks to the clients for their patients while the weather did it thing.

Complete

First of the paving jobs this year and it was a good sized one too. This lovely gardened home in the eskdale valley area was suffering with a sinking and very broken up base.

Once I’d cleaned the top off with the pressure washer I was better able to lift and clean down the old slabs ready for their refit.

Cleaning out the old base and concrete the area was then relevelled and made ready for mortar. Replacing the old flags was then a simple task of following the old pattern. I recut one drain as it had been put in badly and didn’t look nice. Now done the whole area was grouted with Sika Fastfix resin grout in charcoal. The area is now flat and even again.

This home was suffering damp and other issues due to the pointing being so poor. The gable point being the worst point in the job.

We’ll raked out joints and then in with a good mix of mortar. Cleaning down with an etching solution then on with the Waterseal to help protect the new surface. The whole place has had a face lift.
