Finished Iroko Bifolds for “Lou ~ Poll” Yacht

Completed this companionway makeover with a set of bifold double doors in solid Iroko, complete with custom portholes and a carved “Lou ~ Poll” nameplate. All fixings are concealed with Iroko dowels, and new weather seals were fitted to keep the cabin dry while the rich oil finish shows off the grain. A proper upgrade from a tired opening to something that really suits the boat.

Iroko Trim for Lou~Poll Yacht

Fresh Iroko trimwork wrapped around this main entrance, the surround has completely lifted the look of this yacht. Clean lines, solid joinery and a warm oil finish tie the new frame into the existing structure while adding proper protection to the edges. From rough stock to templated sections and final fit on the pontoon, this one was a very satisfying bit of boat carpentry.
Each Peice has been fixed with stainless fixing and plugged with hardwood handmade dowels.
