Rotten sash windows… but the frame is still good 👌 These original timber windows had severe rot in the bottom rails, glazing bars and meeting rails. Previous filler repairs had failed and the sashes were beyond saving. The good news? The outer box frame is still structurally sound — so a full window replacement isn’t needed. Our solution: • Carefully remove the rotten sashes • Manufacture brand-new bespoke hardwood sashes to match the originals • Fit new glazing and seals • Reinstall into the existing frame ready for decoration This approach keeps the character of the property, avoids unnecessary building work and costs far less than replacing the whole window. 🕊 A Meaningful Commission from the Workshop 🕊

This week, I was asked to create a bespoke cremation box to hold an urn.
After thoughtful discussion with the family, we developed a design that captures everything that mattered most to them and reflects who Elliot was.

Handcrafted from solid hardwood, the box features engraved Celtic knot borders, the Leicester City Football Club crest, and personal inscriptions chosen by the family.
Each detail was designed to tell part of his story — a lasting tribute made with care, respect, and craftsmanship.

Projects like this remind me that joinery can go beyond function — it can become a way to preserve memory and meaning.
