STC x Taylor Wimpey x Vistry Careers Fair

On Wednesday we have been invited to Harold Wood. There Taylor Wimpey, Vistry & STC Group are putting on a careers fair. This event is designed to welcome learners, provide valuable networking opportunities with industry professionals, and showcase current opportunities within the construction sector. It will have the aim of connecting candidates to real employment opportunities and identifying suitable candidates for current and upcoming roles, something that OHOB & OHOBTA are proud to be a part of.

Women In Construction

We’re delighted to be invited back to the award‑winning Women in Construction (WIC). This Thursday 4th of June at Lambeth Town Hall we will be there for an inspiring and impactful day, bringing opportunities to women who are looking to get into the construction Industry. This is something we are very passionate about at OHOB & OHOBTA, in a male dominated industry, events like this are essential in bringing together industry professionals and women looking for the opportunity to break that stereo type, break into the industry and carve a career for themselves.

Training

This week we have the following training scheduled - Confined space, Manual handling, Mini Dumper. We have also started setting up our new Crane Operations Training area, where we will be able to train people in all aspects of crane operations, slingers, crane supervisors and crane operators. The Ballasts for the new crane are being poured this week.

Medway Cohort 5 Continues
This week start the second week of our fifth Pre-employment Cohort with Medway Development. The attendees will be gearing up for their CSCS tests at the end of the week, concreting their knowledge and getting ready to jump into the world of construction. Good luck to all.

Medway Pre-Employment Cohort 5 Begins

Monday 18th see's our 5th pre-employment programme begin with Medway Development Company. Training new comers to the construction industry to be work ready, giving them industry knowledge, accredited qualifications and gaining them their CSCS card. Keady Office Opening

Our sister company Keady Constructions offices have been finished and the official opening ceremony is this Friday, 22/05/2026. Local authorities and key members of the construction industry have been invited down to the unveiling. Good luck to Keady and their new ventures, success is without doubt with such a good looking building housing them.

Tower Hamlets Cohort Week 2

This week starts our second week of the Tower Hamlets cohort over in the Isle of Dogs with Ballymore. The operatives have been on site learning what it takes to be in construction, taking on industry knowledge, accredited tickets and gearing up for their CSCS tests at the end of the course. We wish them the best of luck.

Wandsworth Careers Fair

This Friday we have been invited down to attend Wandsworth careers fair along side Taylor Wimpey and Workmatch. We look forward to going down to Wandsworth and showing the local residents what OHOB have to offer in terms of training and career options.

This week at OHOBTA...

Medway Cohort 4 Continues

The second week of our Medway Pre-employment programme is taking place. This week those attending will be finalising their knowledge to take their CSCS test at the end of the week as well as preparing for their interviews and readying themselves for the working world. Good luck, we are sure you will all pass with flying colours.

Tower Hamlets Pre-Employment Enrolment Day

Wednesday bring the enrolment day for our Pre-employment Cohort at our site in Canary Wharf. Members of the team will be there to host locals from the Tower Hamlets borough, explain what the course is all about, take details and interview the attendees to select the operatives. Those selected will be starting the Pre-Employment course the coming Monday. Good luck to those all attending the enrolment day, we look forward to meeting you.

18 to 24 Jobs Fair - Twickenham

On Tuesday we are attending a jobs fair specifically for 18 to 24 year olds looking to get into work. We will be there to talk with attendees about their options in getting into construction, what OHOB can do for them and bolster them with information for getting into the working world. Thanks to Twickenham job centre for inviting us down.

Medway Cohort 4 Begins

Today Cohort 4 of our Pre-Employment programme with Medway Council begins at our site in Strood. A new batch of young individuals will be learning what it takes to make it in the construction industry, gaining industry knowledge, accredited qualifications and working towards gaining their CSCS card at the end of the course. Good luck to all attending, we look forward to seeing you prosper.

Working with Ex-Prisoners - Hackney Wick

This Friday 24/04/2026 we have been invited down by The Skills Centre & TFL Places for London to participate in talking with some Ex-prisoners about careers paths into OHOB and also participate in mock interviews for the attendees. Thanks to both for inviting us down, we fully believe in giving Ex Prisoners the chance to re-integrate with society and get back on the right path, we look forward to doing our part.
