This weekend our Director Jonathan Rowland attended a celebration of the new toilet facilities at St Mildred's Church, Nurstead with The Bishop of Rochester The Rt Revd Dr Jonathan Gibbs and The Revd Canon Alyson Davie. The accessible eco-toilet is situated in the grounds of the church and does not require a water supply, drainage or power so is ideal for remote locations. We are delighted to have been involved in delivering such an important facility for St Mildred's

DAC Architects is a well-established architecture firm located in Gravesend, with over 50 years of experience. The firm has undertaken a wide variety of projects across all genres of building types and has established a wealth of knowledge across the South East and Greater London, working with many Local Authorities, housing Associations, Contractors, businesses, charities and private clients. DAC Architects is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and of the Association of Consultant Architects (ACA), providing technical expertise and experience to carry projects from inception to completion.

Role Description

This is a full-time office based role for a Senior Architect or Senior Technician. The job will be in based in Gravesend. The canidate will be responsible for day-to-day architectural design and project management, working with the team to ensure successful building outcomes.

We are always interested in receiving CV's from all candidates; but particulary from candidates with good experiance within a senior level Architect or Technician role, with job running and management experiance or a willingness to take on such responsibilities; and develop these skills to a practice management level.

Qualifications

Strong background in Architecture
Very experianced in planning and building control regulations
Tender packages
Project Management skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with AutoCAD and other architectural software
Dip Arch - 5 to 8 years post qualification experiance
Experience working with Local Authorities, housing associations, contractors, businesses, and charities is a plus.

Following Andrew Scott's retirement from the practice last year, his final project for DAC Architects is now complete. The project in Farningham for a financial services company involved a technically challenging conversion of a redundant telephone exchange. Construction work carried out by Theobalds. Andrew is pictured here with the client's business manager. Well done Andrew!

We have recently been refurbishing a listed building in a conservation area, to create bedsits for a homeless charity in North Kent. We worked hard to conserve the original fabric of the building whilst making vast improvements to the fire safety measures.
