𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵, 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀: 𝗔 𝗙𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

Our new video captures the transformation of our enabling works project for Global Switch at their London South Data Centre in Docklands.

Using a unique "Flight Through Time" approach, the video combines aerial footage captured over a seven-month period, from when the project was already well underway through to completion.

As the drone moves across different areas of the site, the footage takes you back and forth through the construction programme, revealing how key parts of the development evolved and highlighting the scale of progress achieved along the way.

From extensive earthworks and excavation to piling mat construction, drainage, and infrastructure works, this project showcases the breadth of services delivered by our team to prepare the site for the next phase of construction.

We hope you’ll agree, it's a fascinating way to look back at the project and appreciate the scale, complexity and coordination involved in delivering a major data centre development.

Downwell currently tops the Bouygues UK table for on-site subcontractor health and safety performance. This achievement reflects the team's commitment to maintaining the highest standards and ensuring everyone returns home safely.

⭐️ 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Further demonstrating the high standards being maintained on site, the Tustin Estate project was selected as part of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors' (NFDC) annual audit programme. As part of the assessment, the site hosted an unannounced visit by NFDC, who used the project as a live on-site evaluation of demolition practices and standards.

🧡 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆
Our commitment extends beyond the site, with the team currently supporting the refurbishment of perimeter fencing at a local school. Another example of how our involvement in projects leave a positive legacy within the communities they serve.

Demolition works continue to advance at pace, with an awesome sight of multiple pieces of heavy machinery now at work, as we move forward with this important regeneration project.

More bites taken out of our project on William Road in Central London.

This footage captures one of our demolition excavators hard at work, carefully dismantling the existing structure as part of our enabling works package.

Operating heavy machinery in a dense urban environment is about far more than power. Every movement is deliberate, every sequence meticulously planned, and every action carried out with precision. In locations where space is limited and neighbouring buildings are either directly connected or just metres away, machine handling becomes a blend of skill, experience and precision, demanding complete control from the operator at every stage.

After months of careful planning and delivery, we're now down to the final bites.

There's something satisfying about seeing demolition from an aerial perspective. Big machinery. Precision planning. Safe delivery.

While the machine grabs the attention, every movement is carefully planned and executed, ensuring the highest standards of safety, control and efficiency throughout the project.

We're proud to be delivering a £9m specialist construction package at Westminster Tower for London Square.

One of the most significant and technically complex projects in Downwell Group's history, the scheme draws on our integrated expertise in enabling works, structural engineering, environmental remediation and scaffolding to unlock the next phase of this landmark South Bank redevelopment.

As principal contractor, our works include soft strip, full de-cladding, high-level demolition, structural strengthening and the installation of a new steel-framed structure at height, showcasing the breadth of specialist capabilities that set Downwell Group apart.
