This week we serviced a Baxi combi boiler for a customer in Sutton Coldfield — keeping it running safely and efficiently ahead of winter.

During the service we:

✔ Stripped and cleaned the main heat exchanger
✔ Cleaned and inspected the condensate trap
✔ Cleaned the magnetic filter and removed accumulated magnetite sludge
✔ Checked inhibitor levels — all correct
✔ Carried out full flue gas analysis at high and low fire
✔ Tested the flame supervision device
✔ Re-pressurised the system and confirmed correct operation throughout

While on site we also spotted a slightly leaking divertor valve, we flagged it to the customer and replaced it there and then. No second visit, no waiting around.

While many big race companies will already be planning their next event, every person in this picture is back at work this week (apart from Jo who is enjoying a well earned holiday 😂).

They’re teachers, healthcare workers, engineers, office workers, tradespeople, artists, retirees, parents and much more. None of them are paid to organise the Aldridge 10k.

The Aldridge 10k isn't organised by a professional events company. It's organised by runners who simply love running and want to create something special for our community. Every route check, social media post, sponsorship meeting, photograph, marshal briefing, course set up and finish-line cheer comes from people giving up their own time.

We pour our heart and soul into this event because we want every runner to have a day they'll remember.

As proud sponsors of this year’s Aldridge 10K event, we’d like to say a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part in the 10K race, children’s races, and all the volunteers, supporters and local businesses who helped make the day such a success.

We were handing out finisher medals to all of the runners and the atmosphere was incredible from start to finish, with hundreds of runners taking on the challenge and it was amazing to see so many smiles crossing the finish line. 😊 👏

Lee has done numerous jobs for us over the years and is always professional, prompt, fair priced and hard working. Jobs include fitting two boilers, full central heating installation, bathroom refurb, pipe replacements and outdoor tap installation. He’s brilliant and would always use him, and highly recommend to others. Also a genuinely nice guy.

I have replied professionally, but as I’m human and upset, and for the sake of ranting 🤬
Please allow me to get it off my chest 😞

One thing I take a huge amount of pride in is looking after my customers and providing the best service I possibly can.

Every review I receive has been earned through hard work, good communication, quality workmanship and genuinely caring about the people who trust me in their homes.

That’s why it’s frustrating and upsetting when a negative review appears for something that actually hasn’t happened.

As a small local business, every review has an impact, to some it’s just a click of a button, to me, it’s attached to years of hard work, sacrifices, stress and a reputation I have spent a long time building.

I know I won’t get everything right all of the time, and when I make mistakes, I’ll always own them and do my best to put things right. But it’s difficult when your reputation is affected by something like this, he literally left the review 1 minute after the call ended! 😞
