A lot of it gets another life...

Through our sister company BROWNS Trees, we generate timber and green waste from tree surgery work carried out across the local area.

Rather than treating that timber as waste, we process and make use of it — including producing the G50 Woodchip we sell through BROWNS Firewood.

The result is a useful, natural product that can go straight back into local gardens and outdoor spaces for:

Our G50 Grade Bark Woodchip is a natural, whole-tree woodchip with a typical chip size of around 30–50mm.

It's a really versatile material for gardens and larger outdoor areas, providing a natural, rustic finish while also having some practical benefits.

🌿 Great for mulching — helps suppress w**ds and retain moisture in the soil
🥾 Pathways — creates a natural surface for garden paths and frequently used areas
🌱 Beds & borders — ideal around trees, shrubs and established planting

How good does this woodland pathway look? 👌

Woodchip is a simple and natural way to create pathways through woodland areas, larger gardens, paddocks and outdoor spaces, blending into the surroundings rather than looking overly landscaped.

Our G50 Grade Bark Woodchip has a typical chip size of around 30–50mm and works particularly well for paths and frequently used outdoor areas.

For pathways, we generally recommend laying it at around 50–100mm deep, allowing for some settlement after installation.
