Please Help us support Danny and his family.

Danny, aged just 35 stopped working in December 2024 due to illness and had no income since. Over the past year he has shown incredible strength going through 7 months chemotherapy and major surgery on his leg to remove the Ewings Sarcoma.

Despite everything he has been through, Danny has now been given the devasting news that the cancer has spread and is now terminal.

As a business and as a family at Abel Skip Hire we've come together to set up a fundraiser to help support Danny and his loved ones - His Mum & Step Dad Michelle & Barry, his Brother Ryan, Sister Mikala and Aunty Marie and so many other loved ones through this devastating time.

📣 This year, across Colchester Inns, we’ve chosen to support Cancer Research UK.

💙 Cancer touches so many of us – while there have been huge advances over the last 20 years and incredible progress continues to be made, it’s still a disease that takes far too many people we love. Supporting the research that saves lives feels more important than ever.

We’ll be hosting one fundraising event each month, starting here at The Rising Sun on Monday 23rd February.

The evening will be a pizza & quiz night, hosted by our very own QElvis, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
