Stay Compliant: Mastering UK Building Regulations for Roofing 🔍

Whether you’re a contractor or a property owner, complying with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act is critical. We’ve answered some important questions and detailed a quick breakdown of what you need to know.

📣 Do I Need to Inform Building Control?
Yes - if you’re changing the roofing structure, replacing more than 25 % of the roof covering, adding solar panels or rooflights, or building a loft conversion, you’ll need to notify local authority building control.

However, if your contractor is registered with the NFRC CPS, they may self-certify certain roofing works under the scheme, streamlining compliance and removing the need for you to complete the application and inspection process.
