Staircase Transformation ✨

With the kitchen complete, it was time to move on to the next project on our clients’ renovation list was replacing their old, tired, squeaky staircase.

But we didn’t stop there…

Rather than leaving the space beneath the stairs unused, we transformed it into a fully bespoke storage solution, designed around exactly how our clients use their home. 🏡

The finished design includes:

• 2 spacious drawers for everyday essentials such as shoes, bags, and coats. 👟👜
• A dedicated consumer unit cupboard, keeping the electrics easily accessible while creating a much cleaner finish.
• A compact home office, providing a comfortable and practical workspace for working from home. 💻
• 2 large storage cupboards, giving complete flexibility for shelving, appliances, cleaning equipment, or anything else our clients need to keep neatly out of sight.

The goal wasn’t simply to create more storage, it was to make everyday life easier. Everything has its place, making it simple to stay organised and keep the home clutter-free.

It’s a perfect example of how the unused space beneath a staircase can become one of the most practical areas in a home when it’s designed properly.

🏡 A Complete Kitchen Renovation

When our clients approached us, they were looking to transform multiple areas of their home, with the kitchen being the first project on the list.

Before getting started, we always take the time to understand not only how our clients want a room to look, but how they want it to feel. 🤝

The existing kitchen simply didn’t feel like theirs. It was one of the last rooms left untouched since they bought the property. But aesthetics weren’t the biggest issue…

🥶 Every winter, the room was freezing.

When the extension had originally been built, it hadn’t been insulated effectively, making the space uncomfortable to use for a large part of the year.

Once the kitchen was stripped back to a bare shell, we had a decision to make. We could have built out the walls with deeper studwork, but that would have reduced the room size and compromised the kitchen design our clients had fallen in love with.

Instead, we opted for insulated plasterboard, allowing us to dramatically improve the thermal efficiency while sacrificing as little space as possible. 🌡️

✨ The difference has been night and day.

Now, instead of avoiding the room through the colder months, our clients can enjoy a warm, comfortable kitchen all year round.

Because for us, a renovation isn’t just about making a room look beautiful. It’s about making it work better for the people who live in it.
