Reflecting on 2024 at JemBuild.

2024 has been a busy year filled with accomplishments and achievements that we are immensely proud of and a year representing the most successful since the company’s formation.

In a highly challenging business sector, we have doubled our turnover and maintained our level of profitability which comes after a testing few years in the company’s history.

We have had significant growth in the volume of local work we have undertaken which is a clear testament to our reputation within North East Lincolnshire.

We would like to thank our staff and our valued clients we have worked with during 2024 and look forward to 2025 with several exciting projects currently under construction and new ones beginning.

The £3.5m Franklin College new classroom building and lecture theatre remains on track for completion for August 2025 which will only enhance the superb facilities at North East Lincolnshire’s top performing sixth form college.

The £2.3m Trin Youth facility will be handed to Cleethorpes Community Sport & Education soon after Christmas providing a fabulous new boxing gym, community education and sports facility.

The new £2.5m Centre4 Youth facility will provide a modern, open-plan hub of activity which will include music and dance studios, therapy and games rooms and areas for socialising and will only enhance the existing Centre 4 Community Centre, a project previously completed by JemBuild in 2013.

Following the recent completion of the Sea Road retaining wall project for North-East Lincolnshire Council the exciting £4.5m Sea Road main project will begin early in the new year.

Dudley The Donkey (recently featured on ITV Calendar) will be restored to his original condition and returned to his new resting place within Pier Gardens!

Finally, we have carried out numerous civil engineering projects for our longest established client, Rainham Steel and look forward to working with them again next year.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead.

And so it begins, the next chapter in Cleethorpes history - Sea Road

We are delighted to announce North East Lincolnshire have awarded JemBuild the prestigious contract for the Design and Build of the prominent Sea Road project consisting of the construction of a three storey building which will will comprise retail, hospitality and public amenities.

The new building will sit proudly opposite the Pier as the next iconic building in Cleethorpes.

Hi everyone,

Apologies for our very long absence, an absence caused by the necessity to complete two considerably sized contracts (collectively worth £15m) that were tendered in 2020, contracts starting just post covid that were then hit by the massive material and labour industry price increases resulting in huge financial losses to JemBuild.

A common theme throughout the construction industry which unfortunately has led to the sad demise of many construction companies.

These price increases not only crippled us but shackled our ability to get back to the commercial projects we do best and our only option was to push through and get out that deep hole.

My god its been tough and prior to this I thought I had already had encountered tough times in business but nothing compares to the last 4 years, it truly has been horrific.

I have always maintained a positive attitude and always believed in my ability to overcome this and over the last few months we have secured some fantastic local projects which we have not shared, some are complete, some have recently commenced and are at various stages of construction and some are imminent.

A business is only as good as the people within and I want to thank all our staff for their valuable contribution over these last few very testing years and the fact we have successfully navigated through this is testament to the strength of the company and the people within.

I also want to thank our clients, subcontractors and suppliers for your patience and support.

We are back and will be showcasing what we have been doing and what we are currently working on so watch this space.

KINGS PARK, Scartho, Grimsby

Please see some great aerial photographs (taken by our Project Manager, Andy Stainton) of our £12m Kings Park housing site (https://e5-holding.com/property-kings-park) to the Diana Princess of Wales hospital.

Considering we only have been on site just over one year, along with the continued impact of COVID-19 our works are progressing well and remain on track.

These unique architecturally designed homes have already received wide acclaim for there alternative design and quality of construction.

The first residents moved in over the last couple of weeks.

Our company hard hat range which clearly defines the different personnel on site with orange for our visitors, white for all employees and black for site management and head office staff
