Going to work and coming home to do more work is something I’m a little slack with….. 😂 we’ve lived here for over four years and still the playroom isn’t finished, so the last few weekends i decided to keep the “boss” happy……
Some built in units doors made to match existing and painted “overtly olive” 🫒
Need to run some more bead and butt paneling round, skirting the bottom and a sofa will fit in the gap 👌🏼

Kitchen transformation from a few weeks back 👌🏼 forgot to upload some photos but the customer kindly sent some over 😊

Another one ticked off today 😀 ✅
Been on and off with this one due to the weather but nice to get it wrapped up today, vertical larch cladding installed on an extension of a beautiful cottage in Suffolk, battened, counter battened, fire sealed and insect meshed followed by a little flat roof porch (felt installed at a later date) finished off with tongue and grooved larch to create a shadow gap 👌🏼😊
Building regs requested stainless steel nails face fixed so I tried my best to keep them all uniformed and running in a nice straight line

Some recently completed work ✅
Second fix carried out on a new build for V&B homes consisting of skirting and architrave throughout, internal oak doors (as it’s a new build doors are removed for decorating so handles are left off for now) the handrails, landing Newels and spindles installed to stairs, decorator was quick to start masking up before I took pics 😂 and the kitchen was also fitted ready for worktop templating…….
Moved onto the next plot for more work to follow 😃

busy! Here’s a recently finished job from myself and

We installed some acoustic slatted paneling to walls with a hidden door that leads into the utility room, another door opens to reveal a cupboard for costs and shoes, simple but really affective 😀
We enjoyed this one and the look completely transformed this kitchen 🔥👌🏼

Scribing around the brickwork made this one fun 🤩

Been a bit quiet on socials recently but we’ve been super busy!! We’ve currently got some larger scale jobs on the go so we’ll be sharing our progress as we go…. This is one of our projects drawing to a close with a couple of bits to wrap up in the new year

Big Double bay cartlodge we built in Suffolk over the last few weeks, 200mm green oak post to begin with, something we love doing with traditional mortise and tenon work 🔥👌🏼 6x2 studwalls went up next along with the truss roof….. we also added a little lean to on the side with some more oak work, this will be the customers log store and we’ll finish in the new year 👌🏼
The last week or so has been the fascia soffits and cladding which we think finishes it off beautifully and goes so well with the oak!! 😍

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed this one and look forward to another year together! 👊🏻

Shoutout to Shane and Nick from a top job as always from these boys!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! See you all in the new year 🎄

Managed to get some photos of a recent kitchen completion ✅🔥

A few structural alterations were carried out prior to this one being fitted, previous home owners had boxed the steel beam in meaning a much lower ceiling height one side, by cutting a few joists and adding a few doubles to support them we were able to raise the ceiling height meaning more space and just have the steel boxed in….. ideally we would of like to lose the steel in the joists but this was a lot more upheaval for the customers so this was the best option ☺️

New kitchen supplied by in “sage green” together with the quartz worktop gold handles and newly laid oak lvt flooring we think it looks knockout 👊🏻😍

Enjoyed this one and a big thanks to all trades involved 😊

Not been able to post for a while but that’s not to say we haven’t been busy! We’ve just completed a large second fix job in Ipswich and will add pics once decorated, we’re also working on another big project in the Suffolk countryside with plenty more in the pipeline 👌🏼

This was a little understair storage cupboard we constructed one day this week, the customer wanted to make use of the dead space under the stairs whilst being able to close it off at the same time so…… we built a stud frame, scribed some melamine panels to the interior which can easily be cleaned and are fully finished. Added some shelving in one side and hanging rails in the other 👌🏼
Finished off with hydrofugo mdf end panel and two shaker style doors 👊🏻🔥
Hydrofugo is a fantastic product that we use frequently, the edges can be sanded easily and don’t “fluff” up like the cheaper mdf grades, this means a much better finish when painted 👌🏼

Big truss roof me and the work wife did last week…. For my good friend James William Bateson of Wall To Wall Builders

We fixed the first lot of trusses from plate to plate bedded on a steel support beam, the remaining 12 rafters were hand cut to tie the opposite side in 👌🏼 finished this one off with timber fascia and soffits to make for a nice change 😄

Great bunch of guys and a pleasure to work on such a tidy well organised site 👊🏻 SL Carpentry and Joinery
