As we always do on the last day of the year, I find myself reflecting.
It hasn’t been the easiest year. We’ve faced challenges that truly tested us as a business and as a team, financially, professionally, and personally. There were moments that pushed us outside our comfort zones and reminded us that not everything goes to plan, especially when people and life are involved.
What has stood out through it all is the incredible people around us. The strength of our team, facing adversity head-on together. The support from suppliers and friends within the industry, support that has been genuinely humbling and never taken for granted.
This year has taught us an important lesson: what once worked doesn’t always stay the same in a world that changes so quickly. Business plans need flexibility. It’s vital to plan ahead, but just as vital to review, adapt, and stay fluid.
I want to acknowledge a few key people, without whom navigating this turbulence wouldn’t have been possible.
My brother Leigh, Melissa, and Greg. Your unwavering support over the years, your commitment to the business, the staff, and our customers, and your willingness to go above and beyond means more than words can express. Protecting each other and delivering the right service has always been the priority.
It’s not all doom and gloom. Through the hardships, we’ve seen real potential. New ideas, new ways of operating, and exciting changes are on the horizon. I genuinely believe the year ahead is going to be an amazing one.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Landscapia this year. We wish you a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing you in the new year.
